Our Daughter,Carol,recently moved to China with her boyfriend. They are there to teach Chinese children of primary school age English.

We obviously miss her but with modern technology we are able to keep in touch in many ways, Skype,FaceTime,E-mail,free instant messaging and a very cheap simcard for calling worldwide.

It actually feels like we talk more from opposite sides of the world than we did living in the same city but I guess it just seems that way because of the fact that she is so far away and yet we can see and speak to her like there is no distance between us at all.

This Blog has been set up as a record of her time in China mainly through her e-mails, to us and her friends here in the UK, and photographs she sends back to us (which,most probably,will be mainly of her meals)
